Joining what God is doing in the world isn't anything like becoming a member of a country club. You don't pay your dues, sign on the dotted line and receive a complimentary hat with a club logo embroidered across the front. To belong to a church is to commit to the work of restoring the world God created, because the Church is God's plan for a world spiraling out of control. The Church is the hope of the world, and to join it is to join a cause, a movement, a revolution.
It's a commitment to awaken the love of Jesus "in the heart of everyone who thinks of me ... in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me ... in every eye that sees me ... in every ear that hears me" (St. Patrick). We want to awaken this love in as many people, places and ways as possible. And we want to celebrate the measurable and vivid changes that love brings
